BOTANICAL PORTRAIT The Birch Tree can reach a height of 25m high and has a pyramidal shape. It has bright green leaves and a dark reddish-brown aromatic bark. SOURCE The Birch Tree itself is native to Southern Canada and Southeastern USA; however, it now grows in Russia and parts of Eastern Europe.ORIGIN North American natives used Birch sweet as a tonic and beverage and, when heated, to bring on a sweat to help fight a fever. PRINCIPLE CONSTITUENTS The Birch Sweet Essential Oil is composed chemically of mostly methylsalicylate at 98%. HISTORYNative Americans have used the plants as a tonic to combat all sorts of ailments and illnesses for centuries and it is used today for very similar purposes.

CIRCULATION, MUSCLES AND JOINTS Birch Sweet is considered to be an effective addition to many massage oil blends to help sooth sore muscles, sprains and painful joints because of its anti-inflammatory properties and cortisone like action which temporarily soothes and relaxes muscle pain.
