Grapefruit Pink (France)

BOTANICAL PORTRAIT The Grapefruit Tree is a very large tree with glossy leaves that reaches about 30 feet tall. It has white flowers and a bittersweet fruit at the top that is pale yellow on the outside and pink on the inside. SOURCE Originally from Asia, Grapefruit Trees are now harvested in France, the United States, Brazil and Israel.ORIGIN Because Grapefruit is high in Vitamin C, it shares many characteristics with other citrus fruit in being able to fight against infection illness. PRINCIPLE CONSTITUENTS Grapefruit is primarily Limonene with 90% of the chemical makeup bearing this structure. HISTORY Grapefruits come in both white and pink colors which are both uniquely different; the differences between the two are mostly smelled and taste. White grapefruits are more bitter than the pink variety.
