Ravensara Aromatica (Madagascar)

BOTANICAL PORTRAIT Ravensara Trees grow to a height of 20 m tall and are supported by several buttress roots at the base of the tree. Its bark is very aromatic and has a reddish tint to it. It also has small leaves that are elliptical in shape. SOURCE A member of the Lauraceae family, the Ravensara Aromatica Tree originated in the jungles of Madagascar.ORIGIN Ravensara Aromatica Trees have been used by the natives of Madagascar to treat wounds and purify the air with its very clean smelling scent.PRINCIPAL CONSTITUENTSThe Ravensara Essential Oil consists of many chemicals, chief among which are Limonene at about 20% and Sabinene at about 11% while the others are only found in trace amounts. HISTORYIn Malagasy, the name of the Ravensara Aromatica Tree literally translates into “Aromatic Leaf”.

SKIN CARE The exotic Ravensara Essential Oil can treat a number of skin ailments such as cuts, wounds, bruises, burns, canker and cold sores, athlete’s foot, and some other skin infections that can cause irritation and inflammation. RESPIRATORY SYSTEMBecause of its ability to open airways in the body, the wonderful Ravensara Essential Oil helps the body breathe easier when it is experiencing the effects of colds, the flu, sinusitis, and bronchitis that make breathing difficult. CIRCULATION, MUSCLES AND JOINTSBecause it is said to have muscle relaxant properties, the Ravensara Aromatica Essential Oil can be used as an addition to some massage oils to help relieve muscular aches and pains. It can also be used everyday to help relieve tension and discomfort in sore and achy muscles.
