BOTANICAL PORTRAIT The Ylang Ylang Essential Oil is extracted from the flowers of the Ylang Ylang Tree; a tall tropical tree that reaches about 65 feet tall. The flowers themselves are large, tender and very fragrant. They are yellow, pink or mauve in color. SOURCE Madagascar, the Comoro Islands and Reunion are the main producers of the Ylang Ylang Oil, though the Ylang Ylang Tree grows around tropical Asia mostly.ORIGIN In Europe, Ylang Ylang used to be a favorite ingredient to add for hair preparation.
