BOTANICAL PORTRAITThe Hyssop Plant is a very colorful shrub that grows up to 60 cm tall. Hyssop's stem is erect and woody which bears straight branches which bear the flowers and the leaves of the plant. SOURCEThe Hyssop Plant is originally cultivated in the Mediterranean region of Europe. Our Hyssop Essential Oil is imported from Hungary in Eastern Europe.ORIGIN The Hyssop Plant has been used since the Greek Era and was used to help treat colds and relieve coughs. Today it is used for many cosmetic, medicinal, and culinary purposes.PRINCIPAL CONSTITUENTSThe main component of the Hyssop Essential Oil is Isopinocamphone (44.7%), followed by Pinocamphone (14.1%), Germacrene-D-11-Ol (5.7%) and Elemol (5.6%). HISTORYHyssop is so old that there is even referred to it in the King James Bible. The words for the plant in Hebrew and Greek are so similar, in fact, that they probably share a common origin.

SKIN CARE Hyssop has many properties that can help some skin conditions including helping with dermatitis, healing scar tissue, preventing scarring and healing wounds, cuts and bruises. DIGESTIVE SYSTEM Hyssop Oil has also been known to stimulate the digestive system to help balance it out and make for easier digestion. NERVOUS SYSTEMThe Hyssop Essential Oil can stimulate the central nervous system so as to increase energy throughout the day. This is because of the high concentration of Thujone in the chemical makeup. IMMUNE SYSTEMThe Hyssop Essential Oil has wonderful properties for fighting the cold as it can suppress coughs and get rid of the amount of mucus in the body as it is an expectorant. CIRCULATION, MUSCLES AND JOINTSThe magnificent Hyssop Essential Oil has many properties that aid in the soothing in the pain of arthritis. Hyssop oil is very good for the circulatory system as it can raise low blood pressure and aid in the overall flow of the circulatory system.
