BOTANICAL PORTRAIT Neroli Oil is derived from the blossom of the Bitter Orange Tree, a wonderfully aromatic flower that has a sweet scent and can be described as honeyed. SOURCE Neroli is native to the Far East of Asia but is now well acclimated to the Mediterranean climate. France, Italy and the USA are major producers of Neroli Oil. ORIGIN In earlier days, the Neroli Oil was used as a mild nerve stimulant as well as a blood cleanser. PRINCIPLE CONSTITUENTS Neroli Oil contains 23% Linalyl Acetate, 16% Linalool, and 20.3% Limonene. HISTORY Named after Princess Nerrola of Italy, who wore it as a perfume often, the Neroli Essential Oil was not used until the 17th century. The Neroli Essential Oil was used to calm nervous apprehension and used in bridal bouquets because of its fantastic scent.
