This oil comes from the Indian variety.ORIGIN Used as a timber by ancient civilizations, East Indian Sandalwood hasn’t been used in mass quantities recently because of over-harvesting of the tree. HISTORY Going back almost 4000 years, many temples were built using the East Indian Sandalwood and Egyptians used the Sandalwood oil in their embalming techniques when mummifying.
