BOTANICAL PORTRAIT  A very tall, fast-growing grass with an intense aroma, the Lemongrass Plant grows almost 4 feet tall and produces a vast network of roots. SOURCE Although an Asian Native, the Lemongrass Plant is mostly cultivated in the West Indies, Africa and Tropical Asia as the climate in those areas serve as the most ideal growing conditions.ORIGIN Used as a traditional medication for various reasons in India, the Lemongrass Plant and the Essential Oil is now shown to be a sedative on the central nervous system. PRINCIPLE CONSTITUENTS Lemongrass Oil is composed of 71.5% Citral and 5.8% Geranial. HISTORY The Lemongrass Plant's first recorded use was in the Philippines in the 17th century. It was then introduced to the Caribbean near the end of the 18th century and has been cultivated in those areas ever since.

SKIN CAREThe exquisite Lemongrass Essential Oil can be an effective treatment of acne, athlete’s foot, excessive perspiration, open sores and scabies. It is also a good insect repellant and tissue toner. DIGESTIVE SYSTEM The Lemongrass Essential Oil has properties in its chemical makeup that may help colitis, indigestion and gastroenteritis.
