BOTANICAL PORTRAIT The Cajeput Tree is a tall evergreen tree that has thick pointed leaves, white flowers and grows almost 100 feet tall. It has a flexible trunk and is covered with a spongy kind of bark that flakes off very easily. SOURCEThe Cajeput Tree grows natively in the Southeastern part of Asia that has a tropical climate such as Indonesia, Malaysia, the Philippines, Vietnam and Java as well as some parts of Australia.ORIGINThe Cajeput Tree's cousin is the Tea Tree and it has been part of traditional Indian medicine for some time now. Cajeput is an ingredient in liniments.PRINCIPLE CONSTITUENTSThe Cajeput Essential Oil contains 1,8-Cineol making up almost 60% of its chemical makeup. HISTORYThe name of the wonderful Cajeput Tree in Malaysian means "White Wood" named after the color of the bark the wood bears.
