SOURCE The Vetiver Grass is used in India and Sri Lanka for making woven matting. The Vetiver Plant is grown extensively in the Gulf of Mexico in countries like Haiti and the Essential Oil is distilled in Europe and the USA.ORIGIN The Vetiver Grass has been used since antiquity for its fine aroma. The Vetiver Plant is used by locals of the area to keep their pets protected from vermin. PRINCIPLE  CONSTITUENTS The Vetiver Plant is almost completely made up of vetiverol, vitivone, and terpenes. HISTORY The Vetiver Essential Oil is natively known as “The Oil of Tranquillity” and is most commonly known as a relaxing and comforting oil. Today, it is extensively used in men's cologne.
