BOTANICAL PORTRAIT Helichyrsum comes from a flower that varies in color from yellow to white to pink to purple and is called Immortelle because it never loses its color year round. Helichyrsum is part of the the same family as the sunflower. SOURCEHelichyrsum grows wild all over Europe near the Mediterranean, particularly in areas of high altitude and dry climate that receive a lot of direct sunlight such as the mountains that separate France and Spain.ORIGINHelichyrsum has been used since ancient times because it was renowned for being able to heal wounds after battles.PRINCIPAL CONSTITUENTSHelichyrsum Immortelle is composed of 30.31% α-Pinene, 12.8% Y-Curcumene, and 5.29% ß-Selinene. HISTORYHelichyrsum derives its name from the Greek words for sun, Helios, and gold, Chyros. This was a reference to the flowers golden appearance.
